Major Moves

Major Moves is a multi-phase job-readiness program created for English-speaking Black women in Quebec. Through workshops, mentorship and practical tools, participants build the confidence and skills needed to navigate employment, entrepreneurship and their next professional move.

Why it exists

Career growth can feel overwhelming—especially when navigating language barriers, unfamiliar systems or limited professional networks. Major Moves creates a culturally relevant space where participants can learn, ask honest questions and turn their goals into action.

  • Practical career tools and personalized next steps
  • Stronger professional confidence and communication
  • Guidance from experienced facilitators and industry professionals
  • A supportive network that continues beyond the program

Career Moves Lounges

Welcoming, themed gatherings where participants meet professionals, creators, businesses and community leaders. The lounges turn networking into something warm and useful.

Why it exists

  • Small-group mini consultations and live professional feedback
  • Industry discovery across creative and professional fields
  • Resources, referrals and clear next steps
  • Natural mentorship and relationship-building
